Hi, guys.

Wanted to ask some questions, and didn't want to do offtopic in other threads.

1. ozpata and Big Ben - why your post counter says "51" and "52"? Am I not seeing some topics?
EDIT: "Our users have posted a total of 166 messages" - now I'm sure that some threads are hidden. Smile
2. I'm not sure... Please, explain. Is Team Vintage a new mod group made out of Team Players? Or TV and TP two separate teams?
3. Will there be restored possibility of registration at Team Players' forum (or perhaps, this forum will be the official from now on?)
4. Are you searching for some help?
5. Will GP 1937 delay the release of F1 1955?

Would be grateful for any answers.

Hope to have a good time here Smile

All the best,
Chris.

Hi Hex,
Glad to see you here.

We started this new Forum not so long ago.
At first it was a private Forum with only the building crew , the ones directly involved in the 37 project.
This forum permitted us to exchange and talk about the mod. Then we started beta testing the Auto Union car, and some guys wanted more info on the Physics and the accuracies of the cars. So we decided to have a second forum, open to everyone, who loves those old racing cars. We now have a Private and Public Forum.
1- So that explains why ozpata and Big Ben has so many post but invisible. Most of them are in the Private Forum.

2- Ospata is involve in TeamPlayers and I am a former member. I left Teamplayer to create Team-Vintage.
So the 2 teams are not togetter.

3- You should contact Bob.

4- We are always searching for help. Send me a PM telling me what you do.

5- I can tell you that that the 37 GP is on schedule.
We started the beta testing of the ERA. I'm working on the cockpit of the W125 Benz.
Everyone is doing his part. No delay over here.

I wish you some good time with us.
And I'm looking forward to reading your posts.

Hi,

Like wolfattack said there are no beta.

But we are working very hard to finish our objectif. We have 4 out of 5 cars in game.
We are doing the beta testing of those cars.
The fifth car is being mapped now.
So things are going extremely well. You should be getting the 37 mod in the next 6 months.
And you must know that doing a mod like this, in this amount of time is extremely fast.

So meanwhile enjoy the screeners . Smile

Few questions for a good start :) Empty Tracks

Post  RubenSilva Thu Mar 01, 2012 4:39 pm

Hi everyone.
Which tracks in your opinion are the best for this mod or other old school mod?
Like with "old looking" cenery and road surface and such...

Hi there,

there is a plenty of oldschool tracks. Not exactly prewar though, since there aren't nearly any prewar cars available. Most 60s tracks are old looking and have challenging layouts.

My favorites for fast cars: nordschleife, spa, rouen, monza, brno, dundrod, lemans, sachsenring, schottenring, solitude, charade, montlhery, bremgarten (currently there is only a conversion with crappy looks but soon there will be quality one by neelj!), avus

for slower cars: targa florio, machwerk67, monaco, pau

There's also worthy Crystal Palace and Aintree.
Both Salzburgrings - '74 and '76 are a little less worthy, but still Smile

I was talking from memory, without PC.. still don't get How could I forget brooklands... when I drove at least 200 laps there with the Mercedes.
And yes Vale 1934 is awesome too for our mod, actually driving anything newer than 60s (except rally cars) doesn't work there as there are some huge jumps!

I also have Sitges Terramar which has one of the craziest bankings ever (60 degrees!), but it is very basic graphically.

Another question. Smile

When you'll have some sounds by Wolfgang ready ingame, would you make some video of it?
OR there's no point, because we're too close to release? Wink

I don't want to leave this question unnoticed.. but honestly it's not exactly any of those options, we don't want to make moving teasers yet and we're not THAT close to release either. rabbit

Ah, OK then. Smile In my opinion it's obvious that this mod doesn't need any of those promo things, people are well aware of its existence, and waiting impatiently, including myself.
I was asking, because I can't wait What a Face

Thanks for reply, Lukas. Appreciated. Smile

Friends, some dark clouds over this project started to gather at rFactorCentral:

So is it true the credit you took for the work Punko353 did and is it your fault why Team Players site is shut down Mr the_big_ben????????????
My question for today is: can it hurt in any way the overall project, and most of all - the release?
My second question (if I may) is: what actually is going on with Team Players? Should I... we already say goodbye to F1 1955?

Hi Hex,
Thanks I did not see that post at rFactorCentral.

There is no dark clouds over the 37 mod project.
I don't know who told you that. But I never took credit for the work that Bob did.
First of all, he gave me 3 models who where in a really early stage.
Also most did not have cockpit, mapping, textures.
He gave them to me and I (Team Vintage) have been working on them since last june.
I was going to give him credit when we release the mod.
For now we still have work to do on the mod, like the motor sound of the Mercedes. And also the Maserati.
For the Maserati we have a new modeler AHTOAH. He is doing a nice job on it. He is busy in life so that is the reason
it is taking longer to finish. But guys you wont be disapointed with the end result.

And second I am not responsible for the shut down of Team Players.
I remember that last June, after I had done the Brooklands track and the Mercedes SSk 1928
I ask Bob if I could release the track and car as a TeamPlayers product. He refused. And said that I should release
them on my own. He later cut me off the private forum. So you see in reality it's Bob who shut me out, and not me who
shut down the TeamPlayers.

Hi, Ben.

Well, I said "dark clouds", because I've already been there. You know - some guy says one thing, which usually is a rumor, other people starting to believe it and have some complaints. All in all, one thing after another, the modding team ends up with no further will to work or release the mod. Few projects had already been abandoned thanks to some community smacktalk.

Thank you for explaining reply. I'm now all calm again Smile

Well I don't like TeamPlayers attitude towards pretty much anything, even though I was never in contact with them. Just from observing how they communicate with everybody. And there were some unnecessary conflicts maybe with Ben.

But who knows whether 55 mod is dead, they never said much of anything so they can still release it

I didn't like their forum policy, where you literally had (or they want you to) beg, to be invited. I ended up sending 4 or 5 PMs to people this one day, where they were redirecting me to another user. After some time I gave up, because what's the point? Now, I'm not even surprised the way the handled things - no info, no explanation, just forum's gone. Though I couldn't have participated in forum discussions, I have been visiting their forum to read stuff and watch screens they rarely presented.

Oh well, tough luck. Time'll tell whether they disappeared for good or not.
